Belinda Drew
Director

Belinda is the CEO of Foresters Community Finance. Belinda has developed a unique synthesis of skills across the areas of finance, investment and social impact. Belinda has worked in the community sector in Queensland for over a decade in the areas of homelessness, disability, child protection and housing, holding a number of positions in social policy organisations.

Belinda is committed to the development of an industry of organisations that can act in various ways to strengthen civil society organisations and in turn increase their social impact.

Belinda is a Board member of the Queensland Council of Social Service and holds various roles on advisory committees engaged in philanthropy and social enterprise.

Victoria (Tory) Richards
Director

Tory Richards has extensive executive experience in property funds management and finance within Australia. Her past positions include founding director of Reed Funds Management Limited, responsible entity for the $180 million Reed Property Trust, director of Australia Unity Property Limited, managing director of FPD Savills Victoria, national director of Byvan Professional Services, ADPIA National Committee member and deputy chair of the Sunshine Coast Business Council.

Tory holds postgraduate qualifications in management and is a licensed real estate agent. Tory is a QLD Telstra – Hudson Corporate businesswoman of the year award winner, 2008.

David Quinn-Watson
Chair

David Quinn-Watson is an actuary with more than thirty years experience in investments and advising on the financial management of insurance and employee benefits arrangements.

His clients include state government agencies, superannuation funds and listed and private companies.

He is Managing Director of the actuarial consulting firm DeeDeeRa Actuaries and previously held senior positions with some of Australia's leading financial services organisations and employee benefit consulting firms.

David is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia and holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree.

Phillip Lazzarini
Compliance Officer

Philip has senior banking, finance and fund management experience over some 25 years, including involvement in the development of mortgage securitization in Australia, in 1986. Philip has run his own business for the past 12 years providing advice to the funds management industry in a number of areas, including funding, licensing, asset realization, and compliance and risk management. Over the past 5 years, Philip has successfully obtained Australian Financial Services Licenses (AFSL) for two entities and managed a registered funds management scheme. Philip has considerable hands on experience in the design and implementation of risk management and compliance structures, including training, and development of compliance and good governance cultures within organisations.

Peter Aubort
Managing Director

Peter has extensive experience in the property funds management industry including distribution through wholesale and retail markets, managed fund administration, compliance and credit control in relation to real estate lending.

He has provided private consultancy services to Australian property funds management companies for the last six years including the establishment and management of commercial property trusts and funds. Prior to that he was an executive director of LM Investment Management Ltd, one of Australia’s largest commercial mortgage trust managers.

Peter is a chartered accountant, holds a Bachelor of Business in Accountancy and a Graduate Diploma in IT.

Therese Wilson
Director

Therese is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of QLD and has taught and tutored in law and legal obligations for over 10 years covering such areas as contract and civil obligations, unincorporated associations & trusts, vis commercial arbitration moot, corporations law, equity and banking & finance.

Therese currently lectures law at Griffith University and is a member of the Corporate Law Teachers Association, National Tertiary Education Institution Union, Law Council of Australia’s Financial Services Committee and the QCOSS microfinance working party. Therese is a member of Zonta International and an Amnesty International “human rights defender”.

Robyn Grivell
Finance Manager

Robyn joined the staff of Foresters in November 2009, after spending the prior 7 years in the community credit union sector. She brings with her considerable experience in the areas of financial systems, reporting and administration development in both the financial services and small to medium sized business sectors. Her background in the mutual sector and her personal passion for community development through financial innovation were strong influences in her decision to join the Foresters staff team.

Valda Wheeler
Manager, Capital Markets

Valda has held the position of Capital Raising Manager for Social Investment Australia since September 2010. Prior to that she held the position of Chair of the SIA Compliance Committee as an independent member and continues to contribute to that committee as an internal member.

She has extensive experience in the property funds management industry, specifically in the area of distribution through wholesale and retail markets of direct property funds and mortgage funds.   Her experience within property funds management also extends to compliance, product development and credit assessment and has sat on internal compliance and credit control committees.

This broad experience provides a valuable contribution to the strength of the SIA funds management team.
