The Social Impact Property Fund 1 |

The Fund will acquire a portfolio of property leased to Community Sector Organisations (CSOs) qualified by Foresters and approved by the Manager.
Commercial leases provide CSOs with:
- Long term security of tenure in their locality,
- Confidence to embark on capital expenditure, social enterprise or other programs designed to widen their range or depth of service delivery,
- A professional, socially minded landlord who can advise on property selection, and management issues.
SIA will offer CSO tenants the option to purchase the property prior to the end of the fund term. This provides CSOs with the opportunity to build their financial capacity and plan towards asset ownership. This is one of the key Community Asset Building strategies developed by Foresters and CSO’s will be supported by Foresters throughout the lease period to achieve this goal.
Investment in the Social Impact Fund No.1 allows social impact investors to:
- Achieve definable and measurable social impact by supporting a select group of approved CSOs,
- Achieve a market related investment return through direct investment in real estate applied to a social purpose,
- Assist in developing a sustainable community sector through Community Asset Building.
