Social Impact Property Fund No. 1 (SPIF1) closing 31 March 2011

We are in the final fund raising stages for the Social Impact Property Fund 1 with the subscription close date scheduled for 31 March 2011. Intending investors are advised to finalise their applications prior to the offer close date.     

Foresters Community Finance Limited (FCF) and Social Investment Australia Ltd (SIA) have finalised a Memorandum of Understanding with the Urban Land Development Authority (ULDA) to acquire the Fitzgibbon Community Centre situated in the master planned Fitzgibbon Chase residential development.  SIA are in final negotiations with the ULDA to acquire the property by the SIPF1.

 

Scheduled for completion in July 2010, the property is a mixed-use community centre, providing a hub for the delivery of community services and local community development programs through a mix of office accommodation, retail space, outdoor kitchen, community/program halls and natural amphitheatre.  The property has been architecturally designed to present as a community showcase and has been designed to achieve a 5 star Green Star rating.    

As you are aware significant flooding occurred in many areas of South East Queensland during January. We are pleased to confirm that the Fitzgibbon Chase Development and surrounding suburbs were not affected by the devastating floods.
